To make a general donation to Greater DC Cares click here. To sponsor someone who is volunteering at Servathon on May 3, 2008 click here. Either way, your support allows Greater DC Cares to help nonprofits 365 days a year! In 2007 alone we:

• Developed and managed 1,000 volunteer projects throughout the region;
• Helped provide about 36,000 meals to people who are homeless or living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses;
• Provided skilled volunteers to 115 nonprofits to help with capacity building in areas such as technology, fundraising and human resources;
• Trained and placed more than 100 corporate executives on boards of directors;
• Built three playgrounds for children living in low-income communities; and
• Provided free tools to more than 200 local nonprofits through our tool lending library, The Community Tool Chest.

Your donation of:

• $15 supports a morning of food delivery to homebound elderly people;
• $100 buys supplies to paint one classroom at a public school;
• $1,000 installs a computer lab at a job placement center using volunteer technology professionals.
